Kid's Corner
The
Rocky Mountain Train Show's Kid's Corner is a haven for parents
and their children to experience the joys of toy trains together.
Activities have been designed for kids of all ages to participate
with their parents and begin a lifelong hobby.
Build-A-Layout
The train show’s
Build-A-Layout program teaches young hobbyists the skills
necessary to build their own train layout. Over the course of
the show anyone under 18 can help with the construction of an O
gauge train layout, learning track laying, wiring and scenery
making. Anyone participating in the program has their name put
into a drawing to win the completed layout and a brand new train
set provided by Bachmann Trains.
The winner will be notified Sunday afternoon and must be able to pick up
the layout by 6:00 pm, Sunday evening.

Kid-in-a-Cab
Provides
an opportunity for kids to run trains on their own.
Hands-on
Accessory Layout
Kids try their hand at toy train operating
accessories. Watch your children master switching,
loading and unloading tasks.
Crossover
Train Races
Kids race trains against each other through an
X-shaped race course - crashes and derailments
abound!
Kids Club
Story Time
Railroad themed story telling and reading list to
take home.
